I grew up in Bladen County and graduated from Clarkton High School.  After high school, I attended East Carolina University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics Education.  I worked several years with the Cumberland County School system before my employment with the  Bladen County School system.  I currently reside outside of Clarkton. I am married (28years) and have 3 children and a new son in law.  I enjoy the rural farm life.  I have chickens, ducks, dogs, and a cat.  In the summer I enjoy gardening and freezing fresh vegetables for the winter months.   I really enjoy teaching the Foods I and Foods II curriculum at West Bladen High School.
