Last year, Sherry Autry, a mathematics teacher at West Bladen, was nominated for the 2012 NCCTM (North Carolina Council of Teacher's of Mathematics) Outstanding Secondary School Mathematics Teacher for Bladen County.
On Tuesday, September 4th, Mrs. Autry received an email from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction congratulating her for her selection as the winner of the award.  She will be recognized at the NCCTM Conference at Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, NC on October 25th.  Along with her role as a mathematics teacher at West Bladen High School, Mrs. Autry is also involved as a sponsor for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), coordinator of homecoming activities, and a member of the School Improvement Team. Mrs. Autry is married to Joey Autry and has two daughters, Logan and Laney.
